Cats are routine spayed between 4 to 6 months while dogs are spayed at an age dependent on their breed and temperament (6 to 18 months).
Spaying your pet prevents unwanted pregnancy and behavioural changes when your animal goes on heat. It also prevents the development of a life threatening disease called pyometra and reduces the risk of developing mammary tumours later in life. It is an involved surgery and your pet will receive a tailored fluid and anaesthetic plan during their stay with us.
